We all want a great relationship right? And I’d had some good ones, but just not quite right. After three good tries lol, I said out loud to the universe.
“You know what, I keep f*%#ing this up. I give up. I am happy with me I’ll just be single. Single is good. I definitely manifest the men I ask for, but the men I ask for with my logical mind always come with a little “not so wanted” twist. I know my man is out there somewhere with his backpack on wandering the world looking for me. You know who that “perfect for me” man is better than I do. Until he shows up I’m done. But when he does you better make it pretty clear who he is so I know”. Then I forgot about it... and got into enjoying me.
The next week I had a meeting with a publisher and another artist. I thought he was nice but not really the type I’d usually go for. Ha! We started the project together and worked via email. That first week he sent me a bunch of photos of him on his weekend. They were all of him on a bush walk carrying the biggest backpack I have ever seen!!!
My first instinct was Nooooo! Surely not! Him? Really? Are you sure? I was in shock. And only a week after I had decided to be single. So we chatted a bit and then he asked if he could drive up for a visit one weekend. I said, “Yeah sure” still thinking, "He's a bit odd”. He came to visit but he had to be somewhere else, so stayed for about 10 mins and then he was gone. The next time he visited he got something in his eye and it swelled up so much we had to go to a doctors. I was really not convinced about this odd man but I know when source gives me a sign it always turns out right. And source sure does have a sense of humour.
I asked him about the backpack and he told me how much he loved carrying a backpack. He loves really filling it up and making it big and heavy so he gets a workout. I thought he was totally mad...but because I'd said, my man would be out there with a backpack on and source has a sense of humour I kept seeing him. Now 14 years later I know source couldn’t have picked a better partner in crime for me. He is odd but he’s the perfect odd for me.
Source doesn’t really shout... but if you're paying attention the signs are always there.
